Reading Week 7 May 19-22

Reading Week 7 May 19-22: Character Sketch

We are going to create character sketches from a book you are reading.  You are going to have to choose a character from your book that you can describe and draw a picture of.  We have done these with our Harry Potter character sketches except this time you can use descriptive words with sentences.

Using a white piece of paper.  Draw your character.  On the front or on another page write 6-8 sentences using adjectives when you can, that desribe your character.  You can talk about their physical appearance, feelings, thoughts etc.  Try and give examples from your book to support your sentences.  Email to nicholas.iliopoulos@granderie.ca

For example if we used Harry Potter.  Happy birthday Harry Potter! July 31st gif (With images) | Harry ...

We could describe him as:

1. Harry has a large ugly scar on his forehead from the treacherous Lord Voldemort.  He kind of likes it now.

2.  Harry has scraggly black hair that is always unkept.  He has tried to change it but it never works.  So he is happy with it.

3.  If you are ever in a bind you can call on Harry because he is super brave like when he faced the 3 headed monster in the story.

4. An awesome friend because he always tries to help them when they are in need.  Like the time he helped Hagrid with his dangerous dragon.

5.  Harry has always wanted to be in Gryffindor because he is brave.  He really did not want to be in Slytherin.

6.  He always feels like he does not belong with Aunt and Uncle during the summer because they are always mean to him.  Harry likes to spend time with his friends during the holidays.

7.  He has a sweet tooth from all the delicious puddings he likes to eat.

8.  Harry sometimes feels unsure about himself.  Then he realizes that his parents loved him so much and that he is lucky to have some caring friends.
