Adjectives and a variety of sentences

What makes a good writer is being descriptive and starting your sentences in a variety of ways.

Adjectives are descriptive words that describe nouns.  Try and come up with a list of ten adjectives and put them into a short story. The story does not have to be too long. It can be anywhere from half a page to a full page on a computer or written.

Here is an example of a start of a short story.

Adjectives I want to use: Scary, green, spooky, hairy, mysterious, tall, ferocious, creaked, beautiful, sparkly, deep.

The Spooky Forest Walk

slowly creaked open the door at school and I could not believe my eyes! I heard some spooky noises coming from our classroom.  Now, I could just run back home or I could be super brave and see what was happening.  I slowly pushed the tall door open again and I saw a hairy mysterious figure out of the corner of my eye!  It jumped right out the window into the deep forest below.  I knew that I would have to be brave and face my fears.  So I decided that I would have to follow this weird shadowy figure.  I jumped down and took out my green flashlight…

You can do this on a word program and have a parent email it to Nicholas.iliopoulos@granderie.caor do it on a lined piece of paper.
