We have been very fortunate that the Grand Erie District School Board has got all of our students log ins for Lexia® Core5® Reading.
Lexia® Core5® Reading is an engaging and interactive program provides all students a structured approach to six areas of reading, from phonological awareness to comprehension. The program creates personalized learnings paths for each student through an adaptive placement and targets gaps that emerge.
*When students log on for the first time, students will need to do their own auto-placement. In the attached letter it clearly states that parents should not help their child with this. This program is so interactive that if a parent were to help with this, the child will be auto-placed higher than their appropriate independent reading level.
Your username/login is your first name and first last initial and your password is ban1
(Kayden, Memphis, Julia, Cooper, Kaiden Sh have their first name and first two initials from your last name)
Emmett has your first name and first 3 initials from your last name.
Ethan has your first name and first 4 initials from your last name.

Apple users: download the lexia core 5 app
Android device steps:
1. Open the browser on your phone or device (preferably google chrome)
2. Type in the link in the search bar for Lexia Core 5 http://www.lexiacore5.com/?SiteID=5781-4343-2689-5260
3. Once you are on the page, click the three dots in the top right corner (of the browser, not the web page)
4. Enable desk top mode
5. Log in with username and password
You can even access Lexia through an Xbox:
1. Turn on xbox
2. Go down one tile and click on “My Apps & Games”
3. On the left navigation menu, click on Apps
4. Launch Microsoft Edge
5. Go to the search bar on the top of the scree
7. Login screen will appear, put in your username and password
8. Option: Plug a keyboard into any USB port on the xbox to use a keyboard with the program
Note: if you do not have a keyboard, you can use the screen keyboard
