Writing- Week 5 May 4-8
Comics
This we are going to keep things light and fun! In your writing when someone is talking you need to have quotation marks or talking marks.
An example would be....
I walked into the school and Julia was already in the classroom. With a huge frown on her face Julia said "I forgot to pack my lunch!" I replied "Oh no, maybe we can whip up a jelly asparagus sandwich for yourself!" I don't think Julia was too pleased with that idea.
So anytime someone is actually speaking in your writing it is important to include these talking marks. They really make it easier to read and helps the reader visualize in more detail. Combine that with spicy adjectives and people will beg to hear your writing!
So you are going to create comics!! You will need a white piece of paper and you can either divide or fold it into 6 different quadrants. Here is an example of a sort comic with just 3 boxes. In your comic there must be word bubbles. And give your comic a title and colour it as well. Email it to nicholas.iliopoulos@granderie.ca.
