Math Geometry Lesson 1 April 6-10

Shapes Worksheets Grade 3 | Printable Worksheets and Activities ...

We left off learning about geometry shapes.
1. Take a white piece of paper and fold it like a hot dog in half.  Then fold it again twice so you have 6 different quadrants.  In each quadrant find 6 different 3D figures in your house.  Draw the shapes and tell how many:
Faces:
Edges:
Vertices:
each figure has.  Colour it in!

2. Also try and recreate a 3D figure at home using something around your house!  Email it to me at nicholas.iliopoulos@granderie.ca and I can post it on here for you.  Toothpicks, straws, clay, marshmallows are all great.  Try and find something at home.  Or draw a picture of it!

AWESOME job Memphis!  He has taken a picture of his square based pyramid made from q-tips!  Great job Memphis and super smile!  Great smile Caleb and very creative figures with blocks!  And we have the Easter bunny in the house!  Great job Charlize.  I wonder though how many marshmallows did you eat after? Cooper great job as well!  And Emmett is that a rocket ship?  I love it Julia!  Freya you did a great job too!  I wonder how many marshmallows you ate!?
